Cure for Tourette’s syndrome (tic disorder) and OCD without medication §46

The Kuriki method (the first edition in 2007) is a theory about Tourette’s syndrome (tic disorder) and obsessive-compulsive disorder to cure these diseases without medication. This theory is based on the author’s inference and interpretation regarding the structure of these diseases. Since it has been written for the psychoanalysts, reading will be difficult for people in general and it might be sometimes read erroneously. Therefore the Kuriki method must presuppose that the patient is treated by a nearby psychoanalyst, and that, between the patient and the Kuriki method, there is always the psychoanalyst. The explosion of emotional catharsis, which has strong repercussions, is done only for three seconds, once a week: beyond this rhythm, it would be an accident caused by negligence, and the psychoanalyst who is inexperienced in emotional catharsis must take responsibility for the temporary mental collapse caused by the accident. Also, to the patient who has weak capacity of logical reasoning, the psychoanalyst must explain well on the violent emotion of revenge caused by the illusory confusion between the person of the traumatic image in his head and the person in the real world.

Cure for Tourette’s syndrome (tic disorder) and OCD without medication
§46

The treatment for syndrome of Gilles de la Tourette with the Kuriki method takes about three months. Here, the explanation of what this length means.

Treatment begins with awareness of disagreeable bodily sensations that the « compulsive intramuscular sensation » of tic disorder represses. For example, “I have the « compulsive intramuscular sensation » now, because this chair is too hard.”, etc. With frequent awareness, the trauma will begin being found automatically in two or three weeks.

For children, the parents guess the disagreeable bodily sensations and tell them to the children. Also, the parents seek out the trauma with a psychoanalyst.
For example, for disagreeable bodily sensations,
“Maybe this chair is too hard for you. If it is too hard, say it is too hard and you don’t like it.”, etc.
For example, for the trauma,
“Daddy walks a little bit like a woman.”, etc.

The adult persons do emotional catharses; an explosion of the traumatic emotion, only three seconds, once a week. Another traumatic image may be found. After ten emotional explosions of catharsis, the frequency of appearances of the « compulsive intramuscular sensation » will be considerably decreased, and that means three months. This rough estimation can help the readers to get an idea of ??the pace of healing. However, obviously more precise descriptions are needed.

1. The Kuriki method is very powerful. Attempt to cure all at once would cause a transient anxiety and therefore it is prohibited. It is important to heal as slowly as possible, with intention to take at least three months. If there is a therapist who does not know the correct way of catharsis and who tries to cure a neurosis all at once just to show his ability as a therapist, it will be extremely dangerous. Be careful when therapists do not know that the mass of emotion is a huge real thing that has a mass.
Danger of soil subsidence.

2. Catharsis is done imperatively once a week, as fixing the day of the week and as marking on the calendar. “Marking on the calendar”; please take it for a promise from the bottom heart between the author and the readers. Not marking on the calendar, that is a Freudian resistance.

3. You mustn’t be violent against the person of the traumatic image in the real world. The total quantity of the emotion against the trauma is the total quantity of the mass of emotion, so the total quantity of catharsis, that is to say, the total quantity of the cure. The mass of anger is the nucleus of the disease of neurosis. This anger is the disease. (However, the correct understanding of the tic structure can show that there is no relationship between the aggressiveness of the mass of anger against the traumatic image and the aggressive aspect of coprolalia and spitting tic.)

4. With individual differences and also because a cure must be as slowly as possible, treatment may continue for four months or five months (or a year?). Each patient will know his or her individual manner of catharsis, strength of catharsis, thickness of insulator, anxiety immediately after a catharsis, resilience from anxiety, diminution of appearances of the « compulsive intramuscular sensation ». The quantity of the mass of emotion converges slowly to zero.

5. It makes no sense to try to heal only the upper layer. It is illogical to try to treat the upper layer by strengthening the awareness of disagreeable bodily sensations. The upper layer is a symptom of the lower layer, and only the catharsis of the lower layer is the treatment of the upper layer. Catharsis of the traumatic image at the reality level.

As the Unconscious does not have words, in the theory of KV (bodily repression) of the Kuriki method, the traumatic image is linked to the specific part of the body of the patient, and this part of the body will be the object of repression. Another part of the body will be arbitrarily chosen as a means of repression. Also, other types of KV are possible with different bodily sensations as a means of repression; the sensation of the skin, the sensation of the blood pressure, the sensation of having eaten much, the sensation of hunger, etc. The sensation of having eaten much as a means of repression can be a bulimia, and also it can be one of indefinite repressed sensations of in tic disorder.

The people with Asperger syndrome often have the “repression” of bodily sensations. In summer, the sensation of the high temperature can be absent in the Conscious. The bodily repression of the heat can be done by the « compulsive intramuscular sensation ». A habit of awareness with words of disagreeable bodily sensations is necessary for the patients with Tourette’s syndrome.
