Cure for Tourette’s syndrome (tic disorder) and OCD without medication §37

The Kuriki method (the first edition in 2007) is a theory about Tourette’s syndrome (tic disorder) and obsessive-compulsive disorder to cure these diseases without medication. This theory is based on the author’s inference and interpretation regarding the structure of these diseases. Since it has been written for the psychoanalysts, reading will be difficult for people in general and it might be sometimes read erroneously. Therefore the Kuriki method must presuppose that the patient is treated by a nearby psychoanalyst, and that, between the patient and the Kuriki method, there is always the psychoanalyst. The explosion of emotional catharsis, which has strong repercussions, is done only for three seconds, once a week: beyond this rhythm, it would be an accident caused by negligence, and the psychoanalyst who is inexperienced in emotional catharsis must take responsibility for the temporary mental collapse caused by the accident. Also, to the patient who has weak capacity of logical reasoning, the psychoanalyst must explain well on the violent emotion of revenge caused by the illusory confusion between the person of the traumatic image in his head and the person in the real world.

§37

Œdipus complex
Period of children of 3 – 5 year old, male and female.

The Œdipus complex is a state in the Unconscious: a purely theoretical state. It is not a theory that is supposed to be intuitively understood.
“I-Unconscious” and “I-Conscious” are two distinct persons. “I-Unconscious” is someone else. The Œdipus complex is not a relationship between “I” and “my father and my mother”, but between someone else and the father and the mother of that someone else. And “I” do not know this “someone else”. During the formation of the Super-ego Freudian, the triangular relationship of the three unconscious persons will be constructed in the Unconscious. This triangular relationship is not a triangular relationship of three visible persons. As the expressed emotions are already conscious expressions of judgments, the Œdipus complex is not a triangular relationship with emotional elements in the Conscious. Psychoanalysis is a study with reasonings about potential energies, that have not been emotionally expressed, and it would be an error to try to understand a structure in the Unconscious with intuitive emotional elements. It is necessary to recognize the Unconscious as a distinct existence from the Conscious. The Œdipus complex is the state of a healthy conflict in the triangular relationship of little children. For children, the Œdipus complex is an important step in the healthy psychological development, at time of the separation of the Conscious and the Unconscious, and of the formation of the Super-ego. The clear conflict and the natural resolution are healthy processes of the growth. The natural resolution of the Œdipus complex is that the sexual orientation towards persons of the opposite sex will be healthily extrafamilial, based on the clear and stable triangle in the Unconscious.

If the conflict of the triangular relationship of the Œdipus complex is incomplete, this lack can cause a problem. If there is no conflict, there will be no resolution of the conflict, and it may cause difficulty in being independent to seek extrafamilial persons of the opposite sex. However, the Œdipus complex is one of the hints that indicate the cause of neurotic bodily symptoms. The structure of the Œdipus complex is an idea only in the treatments of bodily symptoms of neurosis, and it is useless to mention about the triangular relationship of the Œdipus complex in a healthy state of mind.

Since the trauma that is the cause of neurosis is the image of a thing, unresolved Œdipus complex in itself can not be a direct cause of neurosis. The absence of the healthy resolution of the Œdipus complex, i. e., non-verbalisation of the genital affirmation can be the cause of the freezing of a disagreeable judgment.

Sexual desire is a libidinal manifestation that the Conscious recognizes as sexual, and it is a very frequent object of the Conscious. Sexual desire is never repressed, and unconscious sexual desire never exists. The Libido passes frequently the Super-ego by various means and becomes an object of Conscious as sexual desire. Passing the Super-ego is the pleasure of the Libido. Even immoral and unethical things, repressed into the Unconscious, mixed with the Libido, can get out of the Unconscious as passing through the Super-ego accompanied by the sexual desire, and it will be an object of the Conscious as a libidinal pleasure. Oral phase, anal phase, phallic phase, latency phase, genital phase; these words that represent periods represent also the dualism of sexual bodily sensations in the body and sexual desire to the opposite sex. In fact, rather than a dualism, it is a pluralism. For a pyromaniac, fire is something sexual. Consider that the objects of sexual perversions are often things that has been prohibited by the Super-ego. Sexual desire is never repressed.

Resolution of the Œdipus complex
For Œdipus complex, primitive physical desire in the Conscious is in question, and it is not love. Since children don’t know the sexual act in the strict sense of the term, for children, “sexual acts” mean seeing, being seen, touching, being touched, and the notion of ??possession will be added. Objects of bodily desire are arbitrarily chosen among adult bodies of the opposite sex, but the body of the parent of the opposite sex will be very easily targeted. The parents must be careful not to sexually stimulate the child, and the sexual acts of see, to be seen, to touch and to be touched are naturally prohibited. Sentiments must be expressed by a lot of words, even to a baby. But, at the same time, the desire for the bodies of the opposite sex and the primitive bodily sensations should be considered positive in the head of the child. Incestuous contact will be verbally prohibited and sexual desire in the Conscious for the opposite sex will be verbally recognized as positive. It is recommended to put in the house artistic sexual works of female nude, statues or paintings, which can be a symbolic affirmation of sexuality. In contrast, within the family, the nakedness of a real person and cutaneous contact are harmful.

Children who have predisposition of obsessive-compulsive disorder or Tourette syndrome often congenitally tend to feel uncomfortable with a real contact with the skin of a person. The intuitively disagreeable sensation of cutaneous contact for an expression of affection will be repressed. If it is repeated every day, it will be a trauma as a repression of disagreeable sensation.

The upper layer in the past
Repression is done in a perfect unawareness. It is not an avoidance because of a recognized hate. Object of repression, it is what the child does not notice until he takes notice of it. When he begins to notice it, the unawareness is finished. But he does not notice that he had not noticed it before. For example, when a child noticed primitive sensations for the first time, he ignores the fact that he had already these primitive sensations before. These are repressed sensations in the earlier periods, namely ;
A child who has a tic disorder today,
he may have;
repression of indefinite sensations,
repression of recursive sensations,
repression of primitive sensations,
and also,
repression of primitive sensations that had been repressed in earlier periods.

Similarly for an adult:
repression of indefinite sensations,
repression of recursive sensations,
repression of primitive sensations,
and also,
repression of primitive sensations that had been repressed in periods of very small child.

The bodily sexual desire in the Conscious does not involve the genital sensation. The genital sensation must be difficult to understand without explanation in words for children who are a little bit Asperger.

Primal scene
In the Kuriki method, the definition of the primal scene is different from the definition by Freud. We consider the primal scene for babies from 0 to 1 year old. A baby is in complicity with the mother. Where the baby sleeps: that is the only question. Often the baby sleeps beside the mother. “Baby is sleeping well” is a mistake, because the baby hears everything as sleeping. The light is off, but it makes no difference. The Conscious is asleep, but the Unconscious is always awake ,and the memory will remain intact in the Unconscious. It depends on the couple, but probably a baby can “see” a hundred times the primary scene that way. As complicity, the baby should keep being a sleeping baby. The baby sleeps really, but at the same time, the baby plays the role of a sleeping baby. That must be something violent, which can become the basis of the excess of the prohibition sexual and genital in the Conscious. This violent primal scene destroies in advance the possibility of the formation of the healthy triangular relationship of the Œdipus complex. This primal scene may be buried deep in the Unconscious.

A baby doesn’t know the signification of father.
“He comes home very often. Ah! he is there again!”
Father has no further signification than that.
