Implicit differentiation

Implicit function and its derivative
A function, that is an equation which determines only one value of y for one value of x . Therefore the equation of a circle is not a function.

Usually it must be considered as a combination of two functions.

But you can also differentiate the entire equation first and then separrate it into two.

For instance, when x = 1 .

Between explicit function and implicit function, there is no difference in the content , but sometimes implicit differentiation is easier than explicit differentiation.
You just differentiate left side and right side of the equation as they are.
